10 Days Grand Meghalaya – The Ultimate Deep Exploration
Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong via Umiam Lake
Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or the Railway Station, where our representative will warmly welcome you.
Directly begin your scenic uphill drive to Shillong (approx. 3 hours), the gorgeous capital of Meghalaya.
En route, stop at the magnificent Umiam Lake (Barapani) for panoramic waterscape views, relaxation, or optional speed boating.
Arrive in Shillong, check into your hotel, and spend a vibrant evening exploring the local markets, boutiques, and cafes at Police Bazar.

Day 2: Shillong – Kyllang Rock Adventure & City Sightseeing
After breakfast, take a beautiful day trip to Mairang to see Kyllang Rock, a massive, stunning natural dome-shaped granite rock. Take a unique trek to the top for an incredible 360-degree view of the surrounding pine forests.
Return to the city and explore the peaceful, manicured gardens surrounding Ward’s Lake.
Visit the spectacular Don Bosco Museum, an incredible multi-story repository celebrating the rich indigenous tribal cultures of Northeast India.

Day 3: Shillong – Mawphlang Sacred Forest & Laitlum Canyons
Start your morning with a journey to the ancient Mawphlang Sacred Forest. Take a guided walk with a local Khasi guide to learn about traditional tribal laws, myths, and incredible medicinal plants preserved for over 800 years.
In the afternoon, drive to the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons, famous for its dramatic, plunging green valleys and mist-filled gorges that look straight out of a movie scene.
Return to Shillong in the evening to relax or enjoy the famous local live music scene.
After breakfast, take a road trip to the beautiful Jaintia Hills region, heading toward Jowai.
Visit the historic Nartiang Monoliths, a collection of giant ancient stones erected by Jaintia kings that boasts the tallest monolith in the world.
Proceed to witness the striking, two-tiered hidden beauty of Phe Phe Falls, situated in a pristine, picture-perfect landscape.

Day 5: Jowai – Krang Suri Falls Magic – Transfer to Cherrapunji
After breakfast, explore the iconic Krang Suri Falls, world-renowned for its breathtaking, deep-blue turquoise natural swimming pool and natural cave pathway behind the cascading sheet of water.
Begin your cross-hills drive toward Cherrapunji (Sohra), taking in completely new landscape transitions along the way.
Arrive in Cherrapunji by late afternoon, check into your mountain resort, and enjoy a peaceful, crisp evening watching the mist gather over the ridges.

Day 6: Cherrapunji – Hidden Waterfalls & Deep Caves
Spend a full day exploring why Cherrapunji is world-famous. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and the multi-tiered Seven Sisters Falls.
Hike a short distance to see the unique three-layered terrace pools of Wei Sawdong Falls.
Explore the ancient limestone formations, stalactites, and stalagmites inside the mystical Mawsmai Cave.
Go on an adventure inside the darker, longer passages of Arwah Cave, famous for its hidden fossils and underground streams.

Day 7: Cherrapunji – Garden of Caves – Leisure Day
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Explore the spectacular, hidden water paradise of the Garden of Caves, full of pristine streams, natural rock bridges, and secret cascades.
Visit the **Eco Park**, situated right on top of the cliffs, offering expansive views of the deep plains of Bangladesh.
Spend the rest of the afternoon completely at leisure to relax, write, photograph, or treat yourself at a local cozy cafe.

Day 8: Cherrapunji – Living Root Bridge Trek – Transfer to Shnongpdeng
After an early breakfast, head out for the iconic trek down to Tyrna village to witness the astonishing **Double-Decker Living Root Bridge**, a living marvel of bio-engineering created by generations of the Khasi tribe.
*Alternative option:* For guests who prefer not to trek down the stairs, we can arrange a visit to beautiful, easily accessible single root bridges and local view spots instead.
After the trek, drive towards the border town of Dawki and proceed directly to the riverside camping village of **Shnongpdeng**.

Day 9: Shnongpdeng River Adventures – Mawlynnong Cleanest Village – Return to Shillong
Wake up right next to the crystal-clear waters of the **Umngot River**. Enjoy a magical boat ride where the water is so clear that the boat looks like it's floating in mid-air.
Spend the morning enjoying optional water adventure sports like kayaking, zip-lining, cliff jumping, and see the beautiful **Bophill Falls**.
Drive to **Mawlynnong**, celebrated as Asia's Cleanest Village. Stroll through its pristine, flower-lined pathways, see the unique **Balancing Rock**, and scale the **4+2 Viewpoint** for a panoramic look into the plains of Bangladesh.
Drive back up to Shillong in the evening.

Day 10: Shillong – Guwahati Return & Departure
Enjoy a hearty, relaxing breakfast at your hotel before checking out.
Begin your descent back down the rolling hills toward the plains of Assam (approx. 3.5 hours drive).
If time permits based on your flight schedule, stop for a brief visit at the historic **Kamakhya Temple** on Nilachal Hill in Guwahati to seek blessings.
Transfer directly to Guwahati Airport (GAU) or the Railway Station for your onward departure journey, taking home the magic of Meghalaya.
